We also think it is the best looking car on the grid!” Since the arena opened in 2010, we have helped the Penguins protect our home ice. We consulted the Penguins as they chose paint colors used throughout the arena when it was being designed. Our coatings products protect the building’s structural steel from rust and ultraviolet exposure. PPG products also helped the arena earn LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council — the first NHL arena to achieve this. Our Glidden paint brand helps fans celebrate their favorite hockey team by offering the official paint colors for each team in the NHL. PPG materials even help to power the Zamboni® that cleans and smooths the ice surface.
