Steve grew up in San Pedro California and started attending UC Santa Barbara in 1990. After a year and half, he transferred to Humboldt State University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics with emphasis in computer science. One of his first jobs after college was creating websites for Mobil Corporation. After that, working for a major ISP company, he was tasked with redesigning their unprofessional intranet web pages into an attractive and consistent corporate standard. One day while doing this task, he had an idea that there were likely many thousands of websites for small businesses across the United States that needed to be redesigned and improved. He started doing research and contacting business owners that could use his help. Many agreed to have him improve their websites, and Positive Design was born. Steve has three children and lives in Vero Beach Florida where he is very involved in community organizations such as the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, Vero Beach Christian Business Association, and Vero Business For Business Networking. Steve loves travel, cruises, beaches, movies and he occasionally plays drums in a church praise and worship band. Carrie was born and raised in New Jersey to hard-working parents who had fled Cuba during the Castro Revolution. She has many years experience in administrative and bookkeeping/accounting positions including public school systems and an energy company. She has a great husband and their son is actively involved in youth theatre productions. She helps with setup of new websites, email accounts, billing, and project management. For several years, Mike has helped small businesses and organizations get found online using search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click marketing on Google and Facebook, creating and cleaning up online business profiles, and much more. In fact, he has has even managed the social media accounts for rock stars communicating directly with fans! Bruce has lived on the Spacecoast of Florida for most of his life. He's been happily married to Valerie, his childhood sweetheart, for over 40 years. He has worked with PD/GO since 2011 and loves to help clients with Search Engine Optimization, Social Media, Internet Marketing and Public Relations. Seth has worked for PD/GO since 2007. He enjoys simplifying the technical aspects of running a business in the 21st century. Seth was born in Pennsylvania but has lived in sunny Florida since 1989. Seth and his wife Christa were middle school sweethearts and now have 5 children. They are very committed to the cause of caring for the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children locally as well as in Uganda East Africa. He enjoys fishing, camping, hiking and basketball. He is a tireless Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. Go Bucs!!! Beverly B. Jones is the owner of PD/GO Web Solutions of Stuart, our first franchisee. Beverly felt that PD/GO was a great complement to her existing public relations and marketing business and bought her franchise in 2011. She enjoys being able to provide her clients with a range of services including: graphics, advertising, copywriting and press releases, photography, marketing and websites. Beverly has owned her own business, BB Jones Communications, Inc. since 1994 and is well-known in her community. Her office is located at 2682 SE Willoughby Blvd., Suite 201, Stuart. Her phone is 772-220-0444. Erica graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Sociology. She has worked as a Marketing & Graphic Production Coordinator for a manufacturing / mail order company. She edited the quarterly catalog and designed and typeset various product related materials and inter-office forms. Her most recent role has been that of teacher and she has discovered the joy of studying English grammar. She brings to PD/GO her love of design and editing to create polished and professional websites for clients. She thoroughly enjoys her job! Erica lives in Vero Beach with her husband, two teenage boys, and eleven-year-old daughter. Together they enjoy camping and kayaking. WordPress is an open-source website building platform that works great for millions of business websites. Okay let me show you other things that we can do such as making words bold. We select the words that we wish to bold. I can select Bold here or even Italics or Underline or Link which will link it to a third-party website or a page within the existing site. So I can change Bold like that and that's a very easy, simple thing to do. You'll see that it's now bold over here on the right. If I want to make a page that links to, let's say the Contact page on the website, then I'll select it. I'll click the link button and a drop-down menu appears here where I can choose the Web Page and select Contact. I can even have it open in a new window or tab if I wish. Click done and now that word becomes a link to the Contact page. You'll see that it refreshes over here on the right-hand side of the screen. Also as I make changes on the left you'll see that the published changes button will appear at the top here. This allows me to publish those changes to the live web site. Takes one click and loads in just a couple of moments and that's that.
