Portsmith Technologies warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship to the
purchaser for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment. This warranty is limited to a repair or replacement of the product at Portsmith’s discretion. To obtain warranty service, the purchaser must first call Portsmith Technologies for an RMA number, then return the product to Portsmith Technologies for repair or replacement. Portsmith USB Host to Ethernet devices, like the PS6U1UHE adapter, require software be installed on the Mobile Computer before they can operate correctly. The PSDUHE software for your specific device is specified on the

Download the Cab file as specified on the product page. Using ActiveSync or an SD Card, copy the appropriate CAB file to your device. Double tap the CAB file, and let it install. After installation is complete, the software will ask you to reboot. NOTE: You must reboot before the software will work properly.

The PSDUM driver software is designed to run on a variety of Mobile Computers using the Windows Mobile and CE operating systems. Portsmith certifies and supports as many manufacturers and models as possible. Download the appropriate version of PSDUE specified in the individual Product Page (Your browser may warn you about potentially dangerous software). Copy it to your device using ActiveSync or removable storage such as MicroSD and SD Cards supported.
To use a Modem Cradle from Portsmith, all that needs to be done on the Mobile Computer is to create a dial up connection. The following steps can be used to create a connection.
To configure the connection in Windows CE, tap Start, Settings and then Network and Dial-up Connections. Tap Make New Connection and fill in the information with your service provider. *
When using Portsmith products with Windows CE 5.0 and 6.0 based devices, there are two settings that can be modified to ensure the best connection experience; Disable PC Connection and Enable Autodial.
By default, Windows CE based devices are set to connect to a Personal Computer. This will cause them to connect briefly to a Portsmith product, then disconnect when they don’t get the expected response. This causes a delay in network access as the user must wait for the timeout to occur. Disabling this setting allows the connection to be established without having to wait for the PC connection to fail first.
Remove the Check mark from the box labeled “Enable direct connections to the desktop computer” Click OK in the top Right Click ‘X’ to close all other windows. This will now enable network access with your Portsmith product more quickly and reliably.
Remove the Check mark from the box labeled “Use LAN (no autodial)” Select the connection from the list. For Portsmith Products this may be named ‘USB Connection’, ‘U1M Modem’, ‘PSDUE’, or ‘PSA1U1E’ depending on the product. Click OK in the top Right Click ‘X’ to close all other windows. This will enable programs to automatically connect to the network without waiting for a manual network connection.
