A second generation company, Plastimold was founded by Joe Parisi Sr., a business man with a vision for manufacturing. As a pioneer in the optical business, he successfully combined the laboratory where the lenses are manufactured with the retail outlet where customers can visit the doctor and purchase their frames. Mr. Parisi quickly realized the potential of plastics and its role it will play in our daily lives. In 1998, he purchased a small injection molding company and began building Plastimold Products. The company started off in Ft Lauderdale and relocated to Boca Raton, FL in 2003. As a result of rapid growth, Mr. Parisi purchased a building in Delray Beach, FL in 2007. This state of the art, climate controlled, fully automated facility is equipped to run 24/7.  Nobody wants to be responsible for a delayed shipment of bad product. Plastimold is an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality manufacturing facility, but goes above and beyond those requirements. Our processes ensure that our product is delivered on time and with zero defects. Inspection equipment is regularly calibrated and inspection reports are logged for each job. Our semi-automated Mitutoyo CMM allows us to check parts quickly and accurately. OUR MISSION Plastimold Products, Inc strives to meet customer requirements through the on-time delivery of high quality products while continuously improving the effectiveness of the quality management process. Each part produced in our facility undergoes a first article inspection. The first article inspection is performed based on our quality checklist and criteria from our customers. Together we will define what is acceptable as a quality part and generate a part sepecification. Parts are checked for dimensional accuracy, functionally, key features, and cosmetic defects. Rejected parts are quarantined, reground, and recycled. Once customer approval is received on the sample parts, the job is scheduled for production. Once the job is in production, in-process inspections are done at predefined intervals. Parts are randomly sampled and inspected to verify they are in compliance with the part specification. Inspection information is stored in our automated enterprise resource planning system. Any part or mold issues are noted and will be addressed during the run and again at the end of the run before the mold is stored. Good parts are shipped and bad parts are reground and recycled.
