Company Overview Pittington Counseling Services opened in October of 2006 to help treat individuals, young adults, adolescents and families dealing with issues relating to mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse on an outpatient basis. The practice’s mission is work closely with individuals and families to help everyone to gain a new perspective and to secure positive, healthy futures. Services Provided Dr. Pittington has spent the last 15 years of his professional career working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings and has extensive clinical counseling experience in helping individuals to gain a new perspective and achieve their desired outcomes. Dr. Pittington also has experience facilitating Court ordered family therapy and conducting trauma assessments, psychoeducational, mental health and substance abuse evaluations. Additionally, he is a certified Parenting Coordinator and conducts Attachment and Parenting Plan Social Investigations in child custody proceedings. Lindsey is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern with the state of Florida. She earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communications from the University of Central Florida. Lindsey has worked as a professional recruiter for over 10 years, helping people attain employment. She understands the stresses that come from dealing with everyday issues at work and home. Lindsey’s experience helping others in a therapeutic setting, combined with her education and personal life lessons, all contribute to her therapeutic style. She enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the areas of anxiety, depression, relational problems, anger management, LGBT concerns, and grief. Additionally, she is a certified facilitator of PREPARE/ENRICH, a couple’s assessment used to identify strength and growth areas. Angela is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in 2010. She has worked in a variety of settings, including non-profit organizations, community counseling, at schools and in-home, as well as online telehealth services. Angela provided crisis counseling to the tornado survivors in the Volusia and Lake County areas in 2007; the Tropical Storm Faye survivors in 2009; and the Daytona Flood survivors from 2009-2010. She has worked for the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and the Mental Health Association of Volusia County. Angela also continues to facilitate a support group at New Hope for Kids working with adults and helping families with their grief journey. A great deal of her therapeutic work has been with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups with concerns regarding grief and loss, traumatic grief, relationships, communication, stress management, anxiety, and depression. Angela uses a client-centered approach which encourages her clients to develop effective coping skills and self-care strategies to manage stress, depression, anger, grief, and to foster healthy interpersonal relationships. She wishes to provide hope, compassion, and authenticity in a safe and relaxed environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, concerns, desires, and dreams. Bethany is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University in 2011, and she is currently attending Argosy University to earn a second Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. A great deal of her therapeutic work has been with adolescents working in group home, providing educational advisement, and conducting testing with foster youth. Additionally, Bethany has provided psychoeducational support teaching foster and kinship parents in the areas of anger management, child trauma, stress reduction and management, identifying “red flag behaviors” in youth, and channeling negative behaviors. Kailey obtained her Master’s degree from Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern specializing in the treatment of children. She helps her clients understand emotions, improve communication, and control anger and impulses. Her specific areas of focus include trauma treatment, Autism work, foster and adoption transitions, and ADHD management. She also conducts trainings to help parents and children build their bond while fostering positive behavior change. Above all, Kailey is passionate about seeing children and their families lead healthier, happier, more connected lives. Amy’s focus is on working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, and communication. She offers an integrated person centered approach utilizing cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based therapy. She views counseling as a collaborative experience with her roll of providing empathy, support, and education to help her clients and families reach their goals and live a positive and more satisfying life. Scott works with a wide range of clients, including helping individuals through grief, trauma, anxiety disorders and depression. He also enjoys helping clients with improvements in self-confidence, self-worth and self-image, as well as relational issues and LGBT concerns. Scott uses a client centered, eclectic approach to therapy and utilizes cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness based therapy techniques to aid in individualizing care for each client’s specific needs. He believes in helping clients gain new perspectives and insights in order to bring about positive change in their lives.
