We are specially staffed and equipped to assume that responsibility and are supported by years of training and experience to provide care for your pet. Of course, we must look to the owner to see that his pet is properly nourished and groomed, to protect the pet from injury and accident, and to exercise every possible precaution related to the pet’s well being. In the final analysis, the owner is our very earliest diagnostic tool – the first to recognize unusual behavior in the pet that may indicate the need for professional treatment. We are here to address any concerns that you may have regarding your pets health. Many disease processes can be prevented or at least identified in the early stages with regular physical examinations and laboratory testing. Pine Ridge Pet Clinic grew out of Deltona Pet Lodge, a boarding facility opened in 1995 at its present location. In 1997 we added full service veterinary care and changed our name to reflect the addition of veterinary care and to identify our location next to Pine Ridge High School. In 2000 we added a five thousand foot addition to better serve the needs of the community. We are proud to have been part of the community for so long. Having a pet in the house is one of the most satisfying and rewarding experiences in life. Pets are a source of security and companionship for people of any age and a springboard for children to learn about loyalty, love and responsibility. Pine Ridge Pet Clinic Dr. Fansher is the owner of Pine Ridge Pet Clinic and our “sister” clinic Deltona Animal Medical Center. He was born in Asheville, North Carolina and was raised on a dairy farm in the low country of South Carolina. He graduated from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and has been practicing in Deltona since 1983. He joined the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology in 1990. As he puts it, he still enjoys the pets, the people and the profession after over 30 years. Alison Forrest is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She did an internship in Tuscon, Arizona where she was trained in exotic animal medicine. She returned to Georgia for a year but was recruited back to Arizona to work as an emergency doctor. In 2012, she joined Pine Ridge Pet Clinic and Deltona Animal Medical Center as Medical Director and Associate Veterinarian. Dr. Forrest has a passion for exotic animals, especially tortoise and turtles. She practices advanced medicine and surgery and also enjoys helping wildlife. Her longterm career goal is to be able to provide rehabilatative medicine to manatees. Dr. Gray has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2009. She began working part time for Pine Ridge Pet Clinic in 2015 and has now joined us full time. Dr. Gray has a passion for small animal medicine and her favorite breed is the French Bulldog. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her dogs, reading and spending time with friends and family. We are happy to accept your personal check, provided it is a local check and you also provide us with a photocopy of the Driver’s License and Social Security number of the person signing the check.
