Graston Technique Provider, GT1 Derek received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2016. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2013. Derek is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Derek is trained to treat all injuries and pathologies of the human body, as well as provide all individuals with strength and conditioning programs to reach optimal performance. Derek has been practicing Physical Therapy in Southwest Florida for 2 years. Prior to that, Derek spent two years serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Florida Tarpons, an arena football league team in Fort Myers. Derek believes in working with each client to determine an individualized treatment plan to help the client meet their goals. His hands on approach, is focused on addressing the client’s current limitations, as well as prevention of future re-injury. In his free time, Derek enjoys living an active lifestyle which includes working out, playing basketball, and fishing. Graston Technique Provider, GT1 Tyler is a Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer, as well as a Graston Technique Provider. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the prestigious program at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in 2017. During his time at FGCU, he completed coveted clinical internships with the University of Tennessee Football Team, as well as the Boston Red Sox Baseball organization. Tyler was a former Division 1 baseball player at Florida Gulf Coast University before an elbow injury ended his collegiate career. Since graduation, Tyler has worked independently for various Minnesota Twins Baseball Camps, Perfect Game USA Baseball, Florida Gulf Coast University Club Sports, as well as covering a variety of sporting events for Marco Island Charter high school. Tyler Is well trained to treat all orthopedic and muscular injuries of the human body with the most up to date and evidence based therapeutic techniques. His hands-on method of working on clients to attack current limitations and rejuvenate functional movement to reduce the chance of reoccurring injuries. In his free time the Florida native, likes to fly fish for tarpon, play sports, and work out. Tyler Plans on continuing his education to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. After an initial orthopedic assessment, the client can receive treatment on any part of their body without a Physician’s referral. This means no extended wait time or co-pay to receive a referral to Physical Therapy. Time efficient 30-60 minute sessions were created to provide the client with the perfect amount of time to receive the most effective and innovative manual therapy treatments without having to miss work, recreational activities, or time with their families.
