PGI YACHT SERVICES was born with the vision of providing a truly professional service to yachting clientele surpassing the standard level of service typically found in the marine industry. As owner of PGI Yacht Services, this vision was founded upon my own experiences as a client myself. I have spent the better part of my life on the water having grown up on Long Island Sound and gaining experience on power boats. I then gravitated to sailing several years ago when I had the opportunity to experience the Great Lakes and then the Gulf Coast of Texas and finally relocated to Punta Gorda this past year. Time and again, I would hire a contractor to do work on my vessel only, in the end to be sorely disappointed with the results. Many times, I had to resort to redoing the job myself because either it was done incorrectly or not up to standard even though I was spending thousands of dollars. I quickly realized that my skills surpassed most of the people I was hiring to do work for me. Equally disconcerting was the fact that many of these contractors lacked the professionalism one would hope for. As a result, I ended up just doing the work myself. Soon thereafter, boating friends and acquaintances started noticing the quality of my work and began asking to hire me which is how I started out. I would accomodate them more out of the sheer enjoyment than anything else as I truly love working on boats and pride myself in perfecting the skillset needed.
