erko Inc. is a privately owned, fourth generation family corporation. Originally founded as F. Persky & Co. in 1907 and then became Perkins Marine Lamp Corp in the 1917. The original product line consisted of hand formed and soldered navigation lights, ventilators and chart cases fabricated from brass, copper and galvanized steel. Over one hundred years later, Perko, Inc. still produces a variety of similar products with individual attention to detail and craftsmanship, but as a result of our commitment to quality and responsiveness to the changing needs of our customers, we have expanded into a variety of other modern manufacturing processes and materials. Since moving to Miami, Florida in 1961, our facility has grown many times. We currently have over 425,000 square feet of in-house capabilities from product design and tooling through manufacturing and assembly. Vertical integration has provided independence from most outside vendors. With the exception of a few basic items such as light bulbs, wire, and fasteners, virtually everything from components to finished products are manufactured in the United States from raw materials under one roof. High quality standards and multiple capabilities have also made Perko a valued supplier to many non-marine industries. Perko manufactures custom hardware components and products used in telecommunications, household doors and windows, musical instruments and a variety of industrial applications. Perko's history of commitment to quality products and increased customer satisfaction have brought about many innovations in product design and manufacturing. We intend to continue this tradition of quality, efficiency and service, providing increased benefits to our customers for many years to come. Perko's product line consists of over 1,000 individual products with over 5,000 SKU's. The line includes L.E.D. and incandescent navigation lights, battery switches, searchlights, underwater hardware, cabinet hardware, deck hardware, cleats, locks, latches, hinges, hasps, deck plates and fills, fishing rod holders and emissions products for marine fuel systems. The longstanding manufacturer of Marine Hardware, Lights & Fuel System Components, Perko, Inc. Miami, Florida, proudly announces that they have successfully completed the transition to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. PERKO has been an ISO registered company for over 21 years. They first became compliant to the 1994 version of the standard in 1996. Subsequently they have maintained their certification and successfully migrated through the various standard revisions in 2000, 2008 and now 2015.
