Pensacola Young Professionals is a group of diverse young professionals working together to showcase the Pensacola Bay Area as a spectacular place to live, work, and play. Motivated by a desire to promote positive change in our community, PYP provides its members with valuable opportunities to build relationships with community and business leaders and to participate in the political, economic, and cultural development and direction of our city. Formed in 2006 by a volunteer board of directors, PYP has grown enormously and now gives young professionals a powerful voice for affecting change in the Pensacola Bay Area. PYP seeks to work hand-in-hand with current community and business leaders to learn from their experiences and to create a young-professional-friendly atmosphere, so that our region can not only retain young talent but also attract it. PYP is all about our members and we encourage them to get actively involved. Although we do provide many networking opportunities, we are not simply a group for socializing. Pensacola Young Professionals is passionate about making a difference! Our members care deeply about the community, and through its many volunteer hours, PYP has supported numerous local causes and worthy charities. Whether it be raising money for a good cause, organizing an economic or political forum, helping others grow professionally, or taking a leadership role to drive our community forward, PYP provides young people with the opportunities and support to make our dreams of a better community come true. Every day we conduct business, assist in patient care, teach and study among men and women from vastly different backgrounds. The Pensacola Young Professionals and the Gulf Coast Citizens Diplomacy Council are honored to introduce to you five professionals who live and work in Pensacola, all of whom are from various countries across the globe. Come to the West Florida Public Library, where you will hear your fellow colleagues share their experiences coming to the United States and working in Pensacola, Florida. Come learn about the similarities that we all share, as well as the differences we have from one another, and let us learn how to work more effectively to achieve the synergy that is vital to a vibrant, productive workplace and community.
