Pensacola Beach Songfest, Inc., established in Evergreen, FL on July 7, 2010, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating the art of music through its annual Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival. This festival brings together songwriters and musicians who have the ability to express emotion and promote healing through their craft. Working closely with partners like AHERO (America's Heroes Enjoying Recreation Outdoors) and Operation Song, the festival focuses on supporting veterans by helping them tell their stories and heal from psychological wounds of war and military service. A significant portion of the proceeds from this event supports AHERO’s mission to provide outdoor adventures and foster fellowship among veterans. Additionally, funds are directed towards Operation Song, which pairs professional songwriters with veterans and their families to create therapeutic songs. The festival also prides itself on its educational outreach, having partnered with Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame to facilitate workshops in local schools aimed at budding writers and musicians. Through these programs, elementary and middle school students receive hands-on experiences in creative writing and music, empowering them to compose their own songs and perform on stage. Moreover, Pensacola Beach Songfest supports the NW Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation’s mission by advocating for abused, abandoned, and neglected children, offering necessary fundraising and volunteer support. The festival aligns its events at venues like the Pensacola Beach Community Church and the Elks Lodge #497, focusing not only on performances but also on fostering community involvement and awareness. The organization continues to thrive under the leadership of President Reneda S Pasquale, Senior Vice President James Pasquale, and Board Member Ross S Orenstein.
