Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) is an institution of higher education affiliated to our school, Pelican Flight Training. As a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) located at North Perry Airport (KHWO) in Hollywood, Florida, Pelican Flight Training has direct access to Orlando, Tampa and the Florida Keys via Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike. Situated in South Florida, our location provides prime weather conditions conducive for flying. In addition, only 50 miles off the east coast lie the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. Our premises are at equal distance from Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Pelican Flight Training operates its own maintenance servicing system out of 14,000 square feet of maintenance facilities overseen by Federal Aviation Administration. Since September 2013, Pelican Flight Training is operating on its premises a 10 000 gallon self-service avgas Fuel Farm. It is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week and used both for school's internal purposes and for dispensing aviation fuel to third-party customers. We are doing our best to ensure competitive prices, while our payments terminal accepts all major types of credit cards.
