PATRICIO ENTERPRISES, INC., North Port

Incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Patricio Enterprises (PE) began operations in 2005 after the retirement of its founder and President LtCol Gabe Patricio, United States Marine Corps (Ret). After serving his last two tours on active duty as an Acquisition Officer with the Marine Corps Systems Command, first as a project officer and then as a Program Manager the transition to entrepreneurship within the Defense Industry seemed a natural fit. His vision, to provide innovative business solutions through streamlined cost effective methods that add value and help clients succeed became more than a bumper sticker and is in fact at the heart of the business model. PE became a Small Business Administration 8(a) certified participant in June 2005, and was verified a Service-Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business by the Concurrently, PE began investing in training, education, tools and infrastructure necessary to support our vision. Among our first investments was training our analysts on ACEIT (Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools) and Think Tank®. ACEIT is a very robust cost estimation application and Think Tank® supports unbiased program decision support. It is a web-based team space for brainstorming and a decision-making tool used to evaluate products in an agnostic decision-making environment. In 2007, PE teamed with Kalman & Company to continue supporting PM ICE at Marine Corps Systems Command. PE surpassed 100 active employees in late March 2010. PE expanded to Newport News, VA; Camp Lejeune, NC; Camp Pendleton, CA; Miramar, CA; Hawaii; and Okinawa, Japan with the recent award of a subcontract in support of Medical Logistics Company (MEDLOGCO). Mission: To provide innovative business solutions through streamlined cost effective methods that add value and help our clients succeed. Vision: To become a strategic partner and be recognized by clients as the "gold standard" facilitating business processes. Director of Business Operations, Army, Air Force, Joint Business Group After graduating high school in 1980, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was commissioned in 1986 as a Second Lieutenant through the Officer Candidate Commissioning Program. Gabe served on active duty until his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2005, when he formed Patricio Enterprises (PE). Gabe's reputation and drive shapes PE's brand. He is widely recognized for establishing leading-edge teams responsive to and responsible for resourcing equipment for deployed Marines in support of the Global War on Terrorism. As PE's Founder and President, he has implemented this approach as the company's model for supporting initiatives though our DoD and DHS clients. Gabe's selected achievements directly related to PE's business paradigm include: Successfully applying program leadership, acquisition, procurement, and logistics experience within a dynamic, high-pressure acquisition business, in order to constantly improve customer satisfaction through the company's efficiency and performance. Implementing strategies and advancing cutting-edge acquisition concepts by adopting partnerships and supply chain integration, resulting in highly successful, urgently needed products fielded to warfighters within accelerated time periods. Developing and delivering both highly technical and informational presentations intrinsic to the program decision-making process at the highest levels of the DoD, and to elected officials, Congressional staff, professional associations, trade conferences, and program reviews. PE is in many ways a continuation of Gabe's leadership, business acumen and entrepreneurship displayed while he served on active duty in various capacities. Adding value to our clients though Performance, Excellence and Innovation are not just slogans but acts committed by PE's employees on a daily basis. The culture and ambiance nourished and encouraged is one of empowerment, personal and professional growth that is directly attributed to PE's growth and reputation within the industry. While pursuing a degree in Textile Technology from Southeastern Massachusetts University, he began working in 1986 for Duro Industries as a laboratory manager, supervising textile testing against military standards.
