True to our sustainable farm philosophy, we raise our Berkshire pigs on an all-natural diet. They’re free to roam in 20 acres of woods where they are able to find hickory nuts, roots, berries, insects and other tasty morsels. Of course, they’re never injected with hormones or antibiotics or fed anything but all-natural feeds. You benefit from pork that has a healthier blend of fats, higher levels of oleic acids, and a product untainted by artificial additives.
Our family farm is located in North Central Florida. Ample rainfall and tall grasses help us maintain a sustainable farm that contributes to the health of the land and our animals.
Farm chores keep our family hopping and every day is a “new day” with respect to where we are, and what task we are working on. Some days we are processing our free range chickens, other days we might be moving cattle or caring for baby pigs and next we could be processing and cutting meat. Therefore, our schedule is extremely variable.
As we are full time farmers, out working with our animals, unfortunately we cannot be always available at our store. In an attempt to be completely transparent, as far as our practices and our animals are concerned, we look forward to showing you just how your food is produced on our annual tours and Open House.
