Partners 4 Global Health, Inc. was founded as "Team Nicaragua Medical Missions" in 2004 by Ali Swanson while associated with Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially inspired by Ali’s experiences traveling on medical mission teams to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, the organization aimed to provide long-term healthcare improvements in Bluefields, a challenging-to-reach region on Nicaragua's Southern Caribbean coast. Over nearly two decades, Partners 4 Global Health has focused its efforts on enhancing access and quality of care through consistent missions since 2010. Strong partnerships with local doctors and community leaders have led to significant advancements in the healthcare system within Bluefields. In 2015, in collaboration with Roper St. Francis Healthcare from Charleston, SC, they initiated a project which involved sponsoring a container filled with refurbished medical equipment provided by MedShare. The effort culminated on June 22, 2017, when Ali Swanson delivered critical healthcare resources to Bluefields Hospital. Continued collaborative efforts include plans for Roper St. Francis physicians to volunteer in Nicaragua and initiatives to facilitate additional training opportunities for Nicaraguan doctors within the United States. These ongoing commitments emphasize sustainable improvements in regional healthcare standards. Based in Plantation, Florida, Partners 4 Global Health, Inc. is formally incorporated under the status of a Domestic Non-Profit Corporation with incorporation dated December 11, 2017.
