Ten high school students qualified to participate after completing the FDIC’s MoneySmart curriculum and going through an application and interview process. Through eight weeks of summer, they earned and learned — stipends and soft job skills. They visited [...] We are thankful for the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce Foundation for funding our Math/Reading software subscriptions in 2017. We use it year-round to determine instruction levels and to record progress in reading and math proficiency. It also identifies intervention levels for struggling students.
