Panhandle Helicopter is a family owned business. Panhandle Helicopters became available for sale in the late summer of 2008 and was purchased by the partnership of the Hott family. It is our goal to provide our customers with the best service possible. Our primary focus is the safety and enjoyment of everyone. If you aren’t having fun, we aren’t doing our job. I have always had a love of flying. I started flying fixed wing back in 1979 but life took me in a different direction. While stationed in Panama City as a diving instructor for the U.S. Navy I decided to take up flying again, this time helicopters. I received my commercial helicopter license in 2006 and as my retirement from the Navy was coming near, this business became available. I can’t imagine doing anything else right now. I’ve got the best job on the beach. A company favorite, this ride encompasses the Intro, Miracle Strip, Run to the Pass, and Shell Island, with an additional trip to the north along the Grand Lagoon, past the Naval Ship Yards and Hathaway Bridge, as well as the marsh lands along the West Bay and Breakfast Point. Approximately 25 – 26 minutes. Panhandle Helicopter provides air tours from Panama City Beach, Florida. Tours vary depending on the amount of time you’d like to spend in the air viewing “the world’s most beautiful beaches” from the best seat on the beach. Panhandle Helicopter is located on the corner of Powell Adams and Front Beach Rd, one block west of Gulf World and one block east of Pier Park. Or, if traveling from Highway 98, we are off of Exit H, which is Powell Adams Rd. Hotels located in front of Panhandle Helicopter include Calypso, Aqua, Driftwood, Osprey, and Inn Paradise.
