The Panama City Swim Team (PCST) is a year-round competitive swimming program, sanctioned through United States Swimming (USS), the national governing body for competitive swimming. Established in 1954 initially as the Panama City Swim Club and now known as PCST, it operates as a not-for-profit, parent-run organization with the mission to build and promote youth swimming in Bay County, FL. The team accommodates different age and performance groups, ensuring a developmental path that helps swimmers enjoy water-related activities while gaining essential skills through year-round indoor training sessions. PCST's diverse coaching staff caters to swimmers at various stages of development. Parents play an active role by organizing competitions, facilitating social events, fundraising, supporting coaches' travel needs, and purchasing equipment. Among its experienced coaches are figures like Coach Bobbie, a former Novice coach who has contributed significantly to the development of numerous young swimmers and her daughter, Emma. Additionally, Jessica has returned as Team Administrator, bringing valuable management experience from her time at high-end hotels and previous roles within PCST. DJ Reyes enhances the coaching team with his prior swimming achievements and recent educational qualifications. PCST also benefits from talents like Cameron, a former swimmer who now coaches while pursuing studies in psychology. Michael Kozenieski, an ex-member of Tarpon Aquatic Club and former club captain, has joined the PCST as a coach after attaining significant coaching experience at different levels and completing his education. PCST continues to thrive as a hub for swimming talent under its current leadership, represented by officers including Erika Goines (TR), President Brian Stahl, and Secretary Jim Works.
