This is not my job, but my passion. I have been working with families, couples, and people in transition for over a decade. I also use positive psychology and coaching to help individuals wanting move forward and seek personal or professional growth through goal setting, motivation and finding their innermost values and goals. I work with a variety of life concerns with individual and couples including communication issues, relationship/marriage problems, blended families, addiction counseling, mood instability, anxiety, motivation, goal-setting and self-esteem. Hello! I am Dr. Deirdre Knapp. I am a Licensed Psychologist and contributing expert to Palm Beach Matchmakers! I will be working on the scientific side of the matching process to ensure compatibility of personality and inner most desires. I am currently working as a consultant and I am a professor for the University of Phoenix. Previously I was a Director of Programs for a company where I supervised three clinical programs and performed psychological evaluations. I have also worked previously as a psychologist for the West Boca Psychology Group where I provided therapy to couples, adults, and children and completed evaluations, and as a psychologist at The Watershed, a substance abuse treatment program. I have significant experience conducting a plethora of evaluations including psychological assessments, working with clients with histories of victimization, and working with those who have been adopted or in the foster care system.
