Palm Beach CRO was created in 2008 and even though we’ve been called a “new player” in CWWeekly (A CenterWatch Publication), we’ve been in the clinical research business for several decades. Prior to relocating to Florida and starting Palm Beach CRO, Arthur Simon, PhD was president and CEO of Research Testing Laboratories, Inc. in Great Neck, NY, a hybrid research company consisting of a site management organization (SMO) and a clinical research organization (CRO) with more than 100 employees. Now, with a talented staff led by Dr. Simon and affiliation with the successful Palm Beach Research Center, Palm Beach CRO is creating a new tradition of value, quality and responsiveness in the management and supervision of clinical research. David has developed a reputation of respect throughout the pharmaceutics, biotech and CRO industries. His strengths are technology, direct and indirect patient contact, and clever problem solving skills. He has provided leadership through the ranks where David started his career as a clinical research coordinator. He earned his BA degree in English from the University of Miami and his MBA in Business from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Dr. Haber has implemented tracking and statistical packages and programs which provide the sponsors the ability to accurately follow patient and physician medical procedures. Dr. Haber was the Director of Neuropsychological Services and Director of Psychology at the Garden State Rehabilitation Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Pizzolo joined Palm Beach CRO in 2008 and has contributed significantly to its growth. She is responsible for clinical protocol development, data management, statistical analysis and medical writing. Luba has been in clinical research for over 15 years and has working experience and knowledge from both the study site and sponsor perspectives. Prior to coming to Palm Beach CRO she had worked at Lahey Clinic as a Clinical Research Associate and then went on to work for Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. and later Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. (now Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., following the merger with Sepracor Inc.). She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, with minors in Marketing & Management and Industrial Pharmacy. Deyanira is a seasoned clinical research professional who had acquired a great amount of experience in different areas of clinical research and project management throughout her 12 plus years of service to well-known pharmaceutical companies such as Kos Pharmaceuticals (Now part of Abbott Laboratories), Accu-Break Pharmaceuticals, and Biotest Pharmaceuticals. She was also previously employed by Palm Beach CRO. Deyanira earned her Bachelor of Science with a major in Health Services Administration from Barry University in Miami, FL and a minor in Accounting from Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Gail has over 25 years of clinical research experience working in both US and global pharmaceutical environments. During her tenure at companies such as Novartis, Pfizer and Reckitt Benckiser (RB) she provided scientific support by conceptualizing novel study designs as well as full clinical development strategies for cough, cold, anti-infective, GI and pain therapies. As director of clinical development in R&D at RB Gail provided oversite of clinical operations, developing and managing budgets and timelines for individual studies and across development programs in addition to writing protocols, final study reports, integrated summaries, and portions of CTD, NDA and IND filings. She also reviewed data; interpreted and reported results. Gail earned her Masters of Science Degree, summa cum laude, from C.W. Post Long Island University with a major in Medical Biology minoring in Immunology. Khyati graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University, New Jersey. She has over 5 years of experience in the clinical research field. Prior to coming to Palm Beach CRO she worked as a Quality Control Analyst at Dendreon on their leading product Provenge, for advanced Prostate Cancer. Khyati is a Certified Clinical Research Professional. Kimberly graduated with a Bachelor of Health Services in Health Administration, minoring in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Prior to coming to Palm Beach CRO, she worked as an Administrative Support/Certified Nurse Assistant at the Office of Dr. Donna Bacon. Kimberly also completed an administrative internship program for her practicum course at FAU, where she studied alongside the Nursing Home Administrator and Risk Manager at Courtyard Gardens Rehabilitation Center in Jupiter, FL. Kimberly has completed her GCP training course through the CITI program. Jody is an experienced quality assurance professional with over 20 years of clinical research experience. Her responsibilities included quality assurance auditing, clinical study monitoring and training. She has experience in Phase I-IV clinical trials with emphasis on compliance with FDA, GCP regulations and ICH guidelines. Prior to coming to PBCRO she worked for Hill Top Research as a Quality Assurance Auditor and Corning Besselaar as the Quality Assurance Manager and IRB Administrator.
