We, the members of The Palm Beach County Tea Party, are inspired by our founding documents and regard the Constitution of the United States to be the supreme law of the land. We believe that it is possible to know the original intent of the government our founders set forth, and stand in support of that intent. Like the founders, we support states’ rights for those powers not expressly stated in the Constitution. As the government is of the people, by the people and for the people, in all other matters we support the personal liberty of the individual, within the rule of law. A free market is the economic consequence of personal liberty. The founders believed that personal and economic freedom were indivisible, as do we. Our current government’s interference distorts the free market and inhibits the pursuit of individual and economic liberty. Therefore, we support a return to the free market principles on which this nation was founded and oppose government intervention into the operations of private business. Our Philosophy Palm Beach County Tea Party, as an organization, believes in Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, and Free Markets. The Palm Beach County Tea Party and the Tea Party Patriots are non-partisan grassroots organizations of individuals united by our core values derived from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights as explained in the Federalist Papers. Anita was one of the original 19 who created the Palm Beach County Tea Party and is a past Vice President. She also chaired the Jupiter branch and was the North County Volunteer Coordinator for the winning Allen West campaign. Marion is a graduate from the business school at the University of Miami in 1982. She went on to a career at IBM as a Marketing Representative for 10 years. After giving birth to her two sons, Marion went on to get licensed in Life and Health Insurance, Series 6 and got her International certification in Personal Training with the American College of Sports Medicine. Terry is a realtor operating in Northern Palm Beach and Martin Counties and with her husband was one of the founders of the Palm Beach County Tea Party. Mel and his wife Barbara (Co-Founder) live in Palm Beach Gardens with their children and grandchildren who live in Jupiter. Mel owned a Sales and Marketing Company in New York, dealing with many Fortune Five Hundred companies. Over the last few weeks we have been making sure our senators know we want to see ObamaCare repealed. We delivered letters and signatures to senators’ local offices as well as a few offices in DC. We also delivered 1.5 million signatures from around the country directly to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell last week. Thank you so much for volunteering to go to your senators’ offices. Last week we saw the Senate fail to repeal ObamaCare. This has been discouraging and frustrating and it is time for Congress to live under ObamaCare with the rest of us. In hopes of ...
