These Overseas Capital Funding Workshops are designed to educate U.S. commercial entities, Startups looking for Seed Financing, Early to Late Stage firms seeking Angel Financing & Venture Capital, Public Private Partnerships (PPP), Economic Development Councils (EDC/CDC), Manufacturers and developers in how to raise capital from overseas investors, form Joint Ventures (JV), exchange Intellectual Property (IP) and technology with overseas manufacturers.   Participants will learn about the EB-5 Investor Visa program, how to file for Regional Center Designation, the difficulties in filing an I-924 and I-526 petition, the team needed to help prepare the documents, securities and immigration issues, costs and time required for designation.  Cost-Benefit Analysis such as leasing existing Regional Center designations ("Rent-A-Centers") to operate as a third party developer under their Targeted Employment Area umbrella v. applying for an EB-5 Regional Center designation will be presented as well as exploration of issues such as Tenant Occupancy, Source of Funds and USCIS guidance and policies will be discussed.  The workshops feature some of the foremost legal and financial experts and firms in the world guiding the participants through every step of the capital formation process from assembling the team, putting together the offering package and distributing that to investors and fund managers overseas. These one week courses are designed to not only educate and inform, but fast track the participants into getting their commercial development projects ready for funding and to avoid the legal and securities pitfalls associated with improper solicitation, distribution or structuring of the transaction.  The goal is to educate and inform and see if overseas capital funding makes sense as a part of the Public or Private developer's capital stack. Participants in our U.S. workshops will be invited to join us on our overseas funding networking trips.
