Help We are Outdoor Valor We got our start back in 2016, our founder Matt Schwanke is a 100% disabled Iraq War Vet. He had been doing a lot of off shore fishing, hunting and long range shooting and it seemed to help him recover from all of his issues and PTSD. He then decided to take some Veterans fishing with him while on vacation in The Florida Keys that summer and made some friends. He then decided since he was already fishing 2-3 times a month why not share it with more Vets. He began doing this more and more till the family filed legal paperwork in May 2017. The rest of 2017 he took out 41 Veterans and family members with more than 58% of the funding coming from Matt and his family. It should be mentioned that no one will ever take a dime from this organization. Matt carefully wrote the bylaws so that all the money will benefit only the Veterans and Gold Star family members. It is written in the bylaws 3 separate times. We will not let this Organization fail, we will be above reproach and you can ask at anytime for anything! Vice President of the Board: Kate Schwanke is a certified school teacher for Marion County Schools and teaches 2nd grade. Kate keeps books and holds all of our float plans back on land for the USCG while we are off shore while plotting our movements via GPS trackers. Secretary/Treasurer and Founder/ Boat Captain: Matt Schwanke is in charge of all of the company's finances and is the face of the company. He is also the CEO. He runs all boating operations on both coasts.  US Army Tanker OIF Vet Help We at Outdoor Valor offer a fully guided fishing experience for all Veterans of all time periods for no cost.  We specialize in PTSD therapy and Gold Star family members. All Veterans deserve a day on the water no questions asked just apply!                                                               Donate to our mission here! Here at Outdoor Valor we give Veterans a chance to reconnect to their inner self. We help them be still and hear the silence of the ocean and reconnect with the brotherhood of Veterans that they lost when they left the military. They can have a chance to experience the Bio-luminescence of the ocean light up at night and witness the stress melt away when the drag screams and the rod bends over. We provide fully guided off shore fishing charters to Veterans and Gold Star family members. We provide counseling for those members suffering with PTSD. ​We call these trips "Reel Therapy".
