Otter Products Founder, Chairman, Chief Visionary Officer Serial entrepreneur Curt Richardson was running his first successful business at the age of 21. In the following decade, he started and grew multiple ventures. Richardson created the first OtterBox waterproof case in his garage in the early ‘90s and in 1998, Otter Products was born. Richardson leads innovation and culture initiatives as founder, chairman and Chief Visionary Officer for Otter Products. Additionally, he’s co-founder and chairman of Blue Ocean Enterprises Inc. and Blue Ocean Holdings LLC. In these roles, he discovers, creates and invests in business opportunities and makes strategic investments in commercial real estate. As CEO of Otter Products, Jim Parke drives strategic development. Parke brings to this role a deep understanding of corporate structure and finance as well as experience developing and mentoring start-up and early stage companies. Parke also serves as CEO for Blue Ocean Enterprises Inc. where he manages all operations for the company, including the real estate and professional services functions of the company. He’s held this role for more than three years and has overseen the formation and acquisition of new business ventures ranging from start-up companies to multinational corporations. With over 15 years experience in human relations, Betsy Wheeler oversees the programs related to Otter Products’ greatest asset — its people. She ensures alignment of the people strategy with the business strategy, while partnering throughout the organization to maintain an engaged culture for Otter Products. Tyler Smith leads the sales and marketing organizations for Otter Products. Smith joined Otter Products in 2009 and was integral in establishing the retail sales channel and managing the retail sales, distribution and business-to-business sales teams. His in-depth knowledge of the business is key to running a united sales and marketing effort. Gerald Chen brings a combination of innovative leadership and extensive experience in the financial and legal sectors to his role as CFO for Otter Products. Chen is charged with directing complex analytics and financial analyses along with managing the tax and accounting functions. Kevin Sullivan joined Otter Products in 2012 and currently serves as chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary. In this role, he directs the in-house corporate, litigation, intellectual property and brand protection teams as well as facilitates relationships with external counsel. Kyle Pettine is responsible for product development, engineering, supply chain and customer fulfillment functions at Otter Products. Before joining the organization, Pettine served in a variety of leadership roles at Forney Industries, Advanced Energy, Honeywell and Motorola.
