The problem with existing compression products is that while they work in reducing inflammation (swelling) and help to restore function, they make the user look ill. No one wants to draw attention to their illness, or limitation. No one wants to feel embarrassed because they use a product that marks them as less than. Our solution was to develop products that work and that are ascetically pleasing- products that are fun to wear. Look gorgeous and control the inflammation! Our founder designed and developed our product line during the course of her own recovery after a serious hand injury and then after recovering from her accident shared her products with other people who have arthritis or other hand limitations. This was the foundation for establishing Ortho Gems in 2018. Jodi is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Case Manager with over 20 years experience in the medical field. She is passionate about helping people with arthritis to self -manage their condition in healthy and alternative ways. Arthritis is serious. As many as 1 in 3 persons in the USA has arthritis of the hands and or hips and knees. Compression is an economically sound way to control that stiffness, swelling and pain so that one can function at an optimal level.
