As the founder of Life Enhancement Counseling Services which provides individual, couples, marriage and family counseling, Yolanda believes that each person’s life has meaning, which when realized creates a sense of peace, balance and purpose. As a psychotherapist, her work is motivated by a genuine desire to help others resolve various problems that cause strained relationships and feelings of unhappiness, disconnectedness, frustration or a general lack of purpose. Yolanda has been working in the field of mental health for the last 17 years and as a therapist for the last 11 years. She is passionate about the life change counseling brings and is honored to work with you to achieve your goals. Yolanda has worked in diverse mental health settings, including community agencies, psychiatric offices, hospices, hospitals, and private practices. She is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, Certified Prepare/Enrich Program Facilitator and is also Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Using various approaches, she strives to help people live their best lives. Recognizing that each person is unique and has their own ideas of how they want their lives to be, she embraces the concept that “you are the expert on you”; but simply need some guidance on how to get there. She incorporates mindfulness, behavioral strategies and skill building to assist clients in regaining control of their emotions and deal with life’s stresses. Holly provides counseling services to adolescents, adults, families, couples and seniors. She frequently works with a variety of mental health topics such as depression, anxiety, communication, grief, emotion dysregulation, adjustment and stress. Holly has been working in the mental health field for 12 years in a variety of settings. As a nursing home social worker she gained a great deal of knowledge on how physical health effects one’s mental and emotional state. This knowledge has led to her holistic approach to therapy. Through internships she was able to work with teen girls and learn the unique trials many are faced with and how to help them cope. Working on a suicide hotline gave Holly the tools to help those in crisis and their families, as well as a deeper understanding of suicidality, it’s causes and how to help those experiencing these feelings along with related feelings of hopelessness or despair. Holly also has experience working in a community mental health agency where she provided individual and group therapy. She has been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and frequently utilizes this approach for those struggling with depression and anxiety. Holly specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and has worked with those who have borderline personality disorder. Holly has also completed level one of the Gottman Method of couples therapy and applies many of the theories, research and techniques from this training when working with couples. Kaitlyn practices therapy as a journey you and the therapist take together. She believes that positive mental growth occurs through pain, trauma, and discomfort, and that people are most susceptible to growth when struggling. Individuals suffering through depression, anxiety or a toxic relationship all have the great potential to transform their pain into something beautiful and strong. As a therapist, Kaitlyn is here to help facilitate your personal journey to growth. In the past, Kaitlyn has served as a sexual assault victim advocate at the Tampa Bay Crisis Center where she acted as the first response to survivors of sexual assault. She provided crisis intervention and resources to those in need. She continues to apply her passion of helping sexual assault survivors as a therapist certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Do you feel stuck or unhappy?
