A few months ago I was at the lowest emotional bottom of my life. Being in several larger treatment centers over the past 20 years, I knew I needed a more in-depth, individualized facility. I needed a safe place where I could break down. heal and build myself back up. Origins of Hope did not disappoint. There has never been a safer place where it felt so right to begin to become myself. "Thank you" just doesn't seem enough. Gail and John (owners), Ashley (my therapist and the clinical director), every one of the other facilitators and staff have given me a chance to have the life I have always dreamed of. I just want to thank you for your awesome treatment. You both are so amazing! I hope that we are able to keep in touch. You have made a great impact in my life. I can’t even express to you both how grateful and thankful I am for you being a part of my new journey in life!! My name is Tracey and I am a recovering alcoholic/addict. First of all I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the following people: John, Gail, Ashley, Allison, Susan, Kim, Terara, Rhonda, Katie, Dani, Loren and Donna for saving my life. The first thing I had to do was surrender to God that I needed help with my addictions and my life as a whole. Once I did that God put each one of you Angels in my life to save me from myself. My time in treatment here has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. From day one I have felt feelings I have never felt. I have also learned how to cope with these feelings and relieve many of them that I have stuffed deep inside my soul since I was a child. I spent my whole life being a angry, sad, resentful and pained person. I used drugs and alcohol to mask that pain, anger and sadness. Because of Origins of Hope, the staff and clients, I sit here today a totally different person, the woman that God intended me to be. Each therapist from Origins of Hope have also been a huge part of my Recovery, teaching me how to feel for the first time in my life, and loving me until I could love myself. I leave here with so many tools to help me stay clean and sober, and with so much hope to continue on this amazing journey being a faithful, teachable women, mother and wife in Recovery.
