I was born in Uzbekistan, one of the former Soviet Union republics. I received a Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) from Tashkent State Medical School and worked for 10 years as a hospital staff psychiatrist. I also received a Candidate of Science Degree (Ph.D. equivalent) from the Institute of Mental Health in Moscow, Russia. I immigrated to the United States in 1994 and completed graduate studies (Masters and PhD) at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. I am a licensed mental health counselor by the Florida Department of Health (License # MH 9563) to provide psychotherapy services and I have extensive experiences treating adults with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, phobias, depression, bipolar, relationship issues and life transitions. To help achieve emotional tranquility and peace of mind I utilize various approaches and perspectives when working with clients in therapy.  Though I use a Client Centered and Experiential approaches the majority of the time, I may integrate other techniques and tools such as Neurofeedback, sand tray or art as a method of therapy.
