Operation Lifeshield, Inc., was established by a group of American olim and Israelis in response to the urgent need for civilian protection during the Second Lebanon War in 2006. Originating from their visit to Northern Israel's Galilee region amidst rampant Hezbollah rocket fire that left thousands without adequate safety measures, the organization's mission is to provide essential air raid shelters. Operation Lifeshield collaborates with leading Israeli manufacturers specializing in steel-reinforced concrete products to produce three distinct types of shelters. These are designed specifically for community sites such as schools, kindergartens, religious institutions, parks, sidewalks, bus stops, and senior day centers, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements set by the Israeli Defense Force Home Front Command. To date, over 200 shelters have been generously donated globally and distributed to threatened communities in Israel. Incorporated in Florida on June 18, 2007, with a mailing address at PO BOX 741722, Boynton Beach, FL, Operation Lifeshield is categorized as a DOMNP company. The corporation is led by Scott Pastor Thomas (Director), Michael Solomon (Treasurer), and David Bacall (President).
