It all started back in 1981. I was only 8 years old at the time. My parents, sister and I lived in a one bedroom apartment in Spain after having left Cuba to escape the Castro regime. My parents were trying to make a living for our family, so I had no choice but to cook for myself and my sister. One of the foods I enjoyed cooking were Spanish omelettes. My sister and I loved the smell of a freshly made Spanish omelette with authentic Spanish chorizo. Since then, I have been known by my family and friends as the “Spanish omelette” guy. Whenever there was a dinner party, birthday bash or other event, I was only invited if I brought one of my delicious omelettes. My wife and I decided we needed to share my omelettes with more than just our family and friends. And so our business, OMG Omelettes, was born.
