Sandra’s insurance career began in 1995 working as a receptionist and then Auto Customer Service Representative for a Nationwide agent in Dunedin, Florida. In 1997, she obtained her 2-20 Property & Casualty License and moved on to an Independent Agency, where her career in the Independent world started. In 2000, she earned her Life, Health and Variable Annuity license and started working for another Independent Agency as their lead sales agent providing customers with auto, home and small commercial liability insurance. After getting her Insurance Instructor Certification in 2006, Sandra worked at Pasco Hernando College helping other prospective agents get their license for Property and Casualty, and Life and Health. In 2007, she started a three-year hiatus from insurance while taking care of her elderly mother. In 2010, she joined an Allstate Agency as their homeowner’s agent offering new homeowners policies to new clients and finding other insurance options for current clients who were being non-renewed. In 2011, Sandra was chosen to help grow a startup independent agency in Trinity, Florida, as their agent of record. After nearly 26 years, Sandra decided to leave the big city for Tallahassee and joined Southern Financial Insurance Group. She thinks of herself as an insurance educator for her customers rather than a sales agent. She wants to help them understand what they need to protect themselves.
