In the UK the phone number “999” is used the same way as the emergency phone number “911” is used in the US. We thought about using the name “911inks.com” in the US, but decided it would be inappropriate because of the tragedy of September 11. We chose “Office Saints” as our US brand, as it connects with our extraordinary care for customers, like how “999” is thought of in England. 999 Inks is now one of the largest online ink stores in the UK. We opened for business in January 2005, with two employees: a manager, and a multi-tasker responsible for everything from customer services to packing and shipping orders. At first we worked out of a home that we converted into a warehouse. With our great combination of quality products at low prices and with free shipping, we grew rapidly, soon becoming one of the biggest sellers of ink and toner in the UK. We now operate out of offices overlooking the Marble Arch Tower in London. We’re now delighted to have expanded our business to the US. Our US operations are in Sanford, Florida, whose warm, sunny climate is a refreshing change from that of our London headquarters. Our cartridges are ISO 9001 Certified – a standard ensuring manufacturing quality. We have our own product testing group to ensure our cartridges meet quality standards.
