My ideal client doesn’t have to be in one of these industries as I am always eager to expand my knowledge base but they must be willing to spend some time discussing their overall business objectives and goals. Ideal clients understand that a top-notch, organic social media strategy takes time to build (especially if starting from scratch) so you must be willing to commit to either consistently doing it yourself or in-house (with my instruction and coaching first, of course) or letting me do it for you. After more than a decade wearing a software engineer/program manager hat in the IT department of a top 20 Fortune 100 company, I spent several years working as a consultant in historic preservation and economic development for a Florida Main Street community. It was in that role that I was able to work with many awesome small business owners eager to learn about digital marketing so they could successfully compete in a downturn economy. I absolutely LOVED the social media and digital marketing part of that consulting job so much that I decided to create a business to focus solely on that…with a few traditional marketing practices thrown in for good measure (because they still work, when done right). Outside of work you can often find me participating in a Frozen Sing-Along at Disney World with my daughter and husband (yes, he knows all the lyrics!), shopping local at the farmer’s market, cooking up a fantastic and healthy dinner for my family with my #1 Little Helper, cultivating my green thumb in the garden, and getting involved in local politics.
