The coastal gulf along Longboat Key and Siesta Key provides an opportunity to sight cast with lures and flies to catch a variety of species. Triple tail can be spotted around crab pot floats and targeted with a DOA shrimp or small baitfish fly patterns.  False Albacore are definitely a favorite with fly anglers, these fish are sight fished and will easily take you in to backing on an 8wt fly reel. Near shore, wrecks, reefs and hard bottom will hold Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish.
