Nytec was founded during the early 1970’s by a group of passionate engineers who gathered on a regular basis in the basement of a Seattle home to work on their own technology projects. This group of friends weren’t concerned about money or fame, rather they simply wanted to create innovative technological solutions that could someday add value to the world around them. With this vision of the future in mind the team moved their work out of the basement and in 1975 formally founded Nytec, Inc. Around the same time, Microsoft, another Pacific Northwest technology company, was founded and over the next 30 years Nytec engineers worked alongside their Hardware Production teams creating technology products that changed the world forever. Since then, Nytec has diversified in many ways by adding a Product Innovation Center in 2013, expanding globally with a Manufacturing Management team in China, and by adding new Recruiting and Sourcing offices in India in 2016. Over the past several years, Nytec has created a variety of new products and solutions for global companies, including the innovative work undertaken for Carnival Corporation starting in 2016. Although a lot has changed since 1975, we remain true to our original vision for the future: constantly striving to bring innovative technology to the world by delivering products and solutions that improve the lives of others. Richard Lerz is a serial entrepreneur and a creative, visionary technologist who focuses his attention on the future. In his role as CEO, Rich dedicates himself to enabling Nytec’s talented staff, and providing the environment and resources that make on-demand consumer lifestyle technology products a reality for tier-one global and Fortune 100 companies. As a strongly extroverted, positive and radiant personality, Mr. Lerz’s career is full of successes. Prior to leading Nytec, Lerz pioneered and architected early technology platforms that provides secure remote access to big data. After founding Microsoft’s Marketing Interoperability Labs, Lerz founded Dataform Corporation, one of Seattle’s first Internet service providers and Pixsy Corporation, a leading image and video index syndication platform powering such sites as Lycos, Sonic Solutions, Pearson and Rediff. Mr. Lerz has a BA from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. VP, Product Innovation Vincent Ball is the visionary force behind Nytec’s Product Innovation Center. Over the years, he has expanded Nytec globally, and formed a talented interdisciplinary team to deliver industry-leading innovative consumer lifestyle product design, engineering and manufacturing management solutions for some of the top Fortune 50 companies. Ball leverages his innate ability to combine his deep business experience with over two decades of design, management, and leadership expertise to assure Nytec is able to help clients turn dreams into reality. Nytec has delivered some of the most innovative lifestyle technology products and services, enabling their global clients to establish first-ofa-kind industry experiences. Prior to joining Nytec, Ball led the design and development of hundreds of consumer hardware and software products while at Microsoft.
