Dr. Maylin is a licensed biochemist and obtained his Bachelor in Science of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry from the University of Havana at La Habana in 1973 and obtained a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences in 1985. He has been involved in formulation development of nutritional supplements since 1978. Dr. Maylin also serves as a Consultant of the Nutritional Supplement Industry where he helps develop and advices for new product formulations. Prior to founding Nutritional Formulations, Dr. Maylin served as a researcher by designing dietary formulas for meeting nutrient requirements and improving efficiency of livestock production of monogastric species at Swine Research Institute (Cuba). During his tenure at Centre of Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Cuba), Dr.Maylin was fundamental leading the Toxicology team on preclinical studies of laboratory product formulation and took an active role in new drug product development. Through open and clear communication, effectively contributed to the issuance of drug master files for the FDA at Schering, A.G./Juste, S.A.Q.F. (Spain), a global company providing pharmaceutical excellence throughout the world. As part of the Product Design and Development Team at SWISS CAPS USA, AENOVA-GROUP, globally active nutritional supplement encapsulation full-service company with high innovation potential, Dr. Maylin worked as efficient professional with a strong commitment to quality, leadership and an in-depth knowledge of the nutraceutical research and development industry, product development and product safety & efficacy. , is the Quality Director for Nutritional Formulations and leads the Quality Control team. Ms. Cortina is a licensed chemist and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Havana at La Habana in 1980. She has more than 30 years of experience in the Quality Assurance aspects in the Nutritional Supplements and Food Industries. Ms. Cortina also serves as Export Documentation Management Specialist for sanitary registry of health products. Prior to joining Nutritional Formulations, Ms. Cortina implemented and maintained the quality systems in a ISO-9000 environment at Harlem Sugar Factory (Cuba). During her tenure at The Body Shop (Hair, Skin & Nail) (Spain), Ms. Cortina was fundamental leading the Quality Control Laboratory Research and Development team on testing in-process and raw materials and took an active role in analytical method development. As Quality Director at Millenium Natural Health Products (USA), Ms.Cortina worked as efficient professional with a strong commitment to quality, leadership and an in-depth knowledge of the nutraceuticali industry, product development safety & efficacy and agency regulatory compliance. Through open and clear communication, effectively contributed to the issuance of product dossiers of nutritional supplement for sanitary registry purposes in Central and South America.
