Provide different workshops and conferences throughout the year with counselors and professionals who provide assistance to the victims of these abuses. Recommend and help families relocate when necessary. Throughout the past nine years, the executive director has developed strong relationships with various public and private businesses within the community, through their referral system. In this new chapter, the organization’s primary focus will be to assist domestic violence and Sexual Abuse victims by providing the following services: Relocation Assistance which includes providing assistance and referrals to individuals in need of relocation and housing and counseling and outreach and prevention to victims. With a passionate and driven executive director such as Mrs. Diana Mejia, who first hand has experienced the impact of domestic violence; the positive effect her efforts will make in the lives of those she serves, will impact an entire community. Mrs. Mejia is prepared to provide an avenue that victims can lead a purposeful and productive life even after the traumatic circumstances they’ve faced. Furthermore, Mrs. Mejia has put her heart and soul into this organization and is willing to do whatever possible to help these victims and provide them with hope for the future. We are Nuevo Sendero Founder and President Nuevo Sendero, Inc. Diana Mejia, Clinical and Pastoral Counselor, has been an advocate for battered Hispanic women and their children for over 13 years. With experience providing counseling for victims and families affected by sexual violence, as well as serving as a prevention practitioner provider to culturally-relevant services and immigrant communities. She works hard to make the world a better place for her children and everyone that she meets. Ingrid teaches her children the importance of helping others, especially those in need. Nuevo Sendero Secretary and Healing Community Program Director Clara has been working for the financial banking industry for the past 7 years; graduated with a BA on business administration. She make a difference on peoples’ lives by empowering others with a powerful truth, the understanding of living a purpose driven life which has been given to us all by God. It’s this purpose the reason why She had spent the past decade serving the community under Faith base organizations where she has developed programs for leaders, small groups, and women support with the main purpose, of helping woman’s to healed after various crisis by recovering personal at themselves the way God sees them. Maribel also provides a Support Group at the Potter’s House Church for the community completely free of cost. As well as, assisting with Counseling Ministry at the Potter’s House Church. She is actively involved with “Nuevo Sendero” Non-Profit Community Program, that helps women Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse in Central Florida. Mr. Catalan has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, a Professional Business consulting firm providing services of financial management, business plans, tax counseling, accounting and bookkeeping Quick-books advisor specializing in Not for Profits and Churches. Maria has experience serving under White House personnel as well local government officials through various internships. She currently assists Commissioner Robert F. Stuart for the City of Orlando District 3. Her dedication to her community and experience in government relations is what drives her to advocate and outreach for Nuevo Sendero. Journalist with more than 24 years of television journalism experience and community research in national and international media, expert in Public Relations, production of events and radio and television programs. Corporate communicator, directs its media through its company Mayra Communications and its media Portada Latina Radio and Portada Latina Magazine. Support Group, Nuevo Sendero Nuevo Sendero has a group of volunteers, ready to help the community and families, supporting and motivating them to produce the necessary changes in society.
