About Not So Normal Travel The Mission of Not So Normal Travel is to help our clients get outside their comfort zones. We want to inspire the young, and young at heart, to see the world for what it is – full of vibrant beauty and magnificent cultures waiting to be experienced. Not So Normal Travel is the passion project of Kasi Hoover. Raised by a pilot father and a mother who believed their children could learn more by experiencing the world than by reading about it in a text book, she was often whisked out of school for trips with their dad – Mexico for ice cream, Amsterdam to get out of doing homework, Scotland for the weekend. It wasn’t until she aged out of her flying privileges that she finally learned just how much she was blessed by those experiences. After nine years of success in advertising sales with the “company of her dreams” (ESPN) something unexpected happened. A new dream was formed – one that slowly but surely steered her away from the comfort of the career she’d enjoyed for almost a decade. In October of 2014 she decided the next year would be her last at ESPN. She would spend the year saving and preparing herself for her next big adventure – working for herself, helping others experience the world of “outside the box travel” that has enriched her life and changed her own outlook on the world.
