Welcome to Not Ashamed Ministries! Founded by Amy and Steve Boe in 2006, Not Ashamed Ministries is based on When they married in 1999, both Steve and Amy felt the call to begin a ministry.  However, developing a ministry in India hadn’t even entered their minds. When missionary friends working in Kerela, India invited them for a visit in 2006, the couple was overwhelmed by the spiritual and physical poverty they encountered there.  According to Amy, God “gripped” both of their hearts.  Before they returned home, Steve and Amy prayed, “God, if this is where you want us, we will be obedient.”   Things happened quickly after that.  Within six months, they had inaugurated Not Ashamed Ministries India. It began with the creation of the Mariyamma Children’s Home and Not Ashamed Ministries Missionary Training School in Kerala.  Operating for three years, this home cared for and found families for orphaned children.  Over time, the ministry has continued to grow, sharing God’s love through a variety programs.  Currently, Not Ashamed Ministries is involved in the following ministries: In 2007, they started the NAM Missionary Training School.  The school is a two to three year program, and it had its first group of graduates in 2010.  A new building for the school is halfway completed and hopefully will be finished by the fall of this year.   NAM helps to rescue girls and women who have been forced into prostitution. Many of these girls were stolen without the knowledge of their mothers.  Often they are scared of their brothel owners who have kept them locked up for months in order to break their spirits.  NAM relocates these women and offers them housing and training to help them start a new life away from the red-light district.  The ministry seeks to reconnect the girls with their families or to help them start a new life if they cannot safely return home.  In 2013, they rescued 27 girls from forced prostitution. One of the future goals of NAM is to build a foster system for the countless numbers of street children in Mumbai.  Currently, if they find a child in need of assistance, they try and place that child with a foster family from their church.  In the future, the ministry is hoping to provide vocational training so that these youngsters will be able to support themselves without turning or returning to a life of prostitution.   God’s hand has been on this ministry and the work that they do in India.  NAM is so blessed to be able to offer love and support to those in need.  If you would like to be part of the NAM’s team, check out our “Get Involved” link.  We are thankful for your prayers and support.  God bless you!
