NKA Contractors, LLC was established in 2004 by Dr. Nadine Jarmon to provide public sector consulting services. Dr. Jarmon prepared for this opportunity with a vast educational background including both Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Urban and Public Affairs from the University of Texas. She also served as Community Renaissance Fellow at the Yale School of Management. At HAL, Dr. Jarmon developed the first performance-based contract for the delivery of Community and Supportive Services. Additional work experience led to the development of expertise with Cost Sharing Agreements, ground leases, admissions and occupancy plans, property management plans, mixed finance agreements and home ownership programs. As a key element of our diversification strategy, NKA entered the document scanning business and has subsequently managed contracts with a number of government clients. Dr. Jarmon founded NKA Contractors, LLC, in 2004, creating an opportunity to apply her in-depth knowledge and experience in directing public housing agencies and community development to solving a broad spectrum of public sector challenges. She has played critical roles in numerous community revitalization efforts with particular focus on developing sustainable housing programs for low and moderate income families. Prior to starting NKA, Dr. Jarmon served as a Housing Administrator in Gary, IN, and Administrative Receiver of the Housing Authority of New Orleans. George Sanders joined NKA Contractors in 2012, bringing with him 20 plus years of middle and senior management experience to the executive team. Prior to joining NKA, he managed various sales support activities for BellSouth’s $2b small business channel including responsibilities for the design and administration of compensation programs, channel specific training initiatives, regulatory compliance, etc. In the interim since leaving BellSouth, he has been actively involved in managing low income housing and supporting non-profit programs focused on providing emergency housing, food and utility assistance. At NKA, George directs business development, strategy and operational priorities. Sanders – Senior Business Consultant We provide order and structure to ensure quality results from key program areas. We use various tools including forensic audits and reengineering to build simple and efficient business processes. NKA Contractors, LLC NKA is an SBA certified minority and woman owned consulting firm providing program and performance management services to public sector clients in areas such as public housing, disaster services and fiscal accountability. We are frequently engaged in a “troubleshooting” capacity when an agency seeks assistance with development and implementation of operational priorities. NKA can digitally scan your existing business, professional and government documents and store them on long-term, inexpensive media for fast, automated retrieval when needed.
