Nicte Creative Design Both of her given names are Mayan goddess names: Nicte (nik-teh), Goddess of the Flowers, and Ixchel (eex-chel), Goddess of Love. She was mesmerized by the symbol the Mayans created to depict the goddess Ixchel — the beautiful curves and shapes used in the symbol inspired the birth of Nicte Creative Design’s brand identity. Design is more than just art — it can describe, inspire and create emotion. Nicte embodies the beauty found in my designs, and Ixchel nourishes her enduring love for design. Nicte has over 14 years of experience in developing successful design strategies for both small businesses and large corporations. Nicte’s passion for her work is fueled by a boundless curiosity. She nurtures the creative process by continually finding new and varied sources of inspiration and education — observing all around her, exposing herself to art, reading, being in nature, taking photos, even doodling in the sand. All inspire her to see, think, and design beyond what the common eye perceives. And because of a strong Latin heritage and being tri-lingual, she often incorporates elements of different cultures into her creations. Prior to starting Nicte Creative Design LLC in 2011, Nicte worked for a newspaper, multiple design firms, and was an in-house designer for both small and larger companies, including The Houston Zoo. NCD has handled our branding from the very beginning of our business. Not only did Nicte create our logo, but she provided guidance on how to keep our branding consistent throughout many mediums. She paid attention to every detail and managed to create an image that is perfectly reflective of our company. Nicte focuses on the whole brand not just a logo. First, I was a little worried about her more creative bent on design vs. our more corporate brand. She has skills across the board and breathed life into our corporate brand which it needed. She is a can do service provider and partner. Many times her and I are on the same page and have the same expectations. She is a stickler for timeliness which isn’t something you often get in creative person. She is the perfect combination of business and creative. You won’t regret working with her!
