With a goal of becomng the next American IZOD IndyCar Series Champion, Andries made the move from a successful karting career to race cars when he earned a scholarship to race at the Skip Barber Racing School. Making the most of the opportunity, Andries scored 11 victories and 14 podium finishes in 14 races to earn both the Skip Barber Summer Race Series Championship and “Rookie of the Year” Honors.
