Out of the large stadium event Promise Keepers that were awesome, powerful and life changing was birthed the Malachi Mandate; Next Step Outback, also known as the Next Step Fathers & Sons Camping Trips. For ten years Greg Lancaster never stopped speaking this prophetic word of “turning the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the hearts of the sons to the fathers.” We’ll let him tell you that story:
As the years progressed we expanded, at the father’s request, to the parent son and daughter, Next Step Outback as they wanted to be able to bring their daughters and mothers wanted to bring their children. It was at this point we began to share the importance of making God’s values our priority and taught everyone the Ten Commandments in such a way that they all walked away knowing what they were and being able to share them. We also imparted into the parents and their children wisdom on parenting, the importance of maintaining a heart of gratitude, God’s expectation of us to have a heart of obedience, and how dependent we are on Jesus Christ for this to be a reality in our lives. It was then we imparted the wisdom of abiding with the Lord.
