NexLube - Company Information Established in February 2010, NexLube Operating LLC (“NexLube”) is a privately held company specializing in the production of base oils and blended lubricants through re-refining of used waste oil. Base oil is the primary substance common in most all lubricants, transmission fluids and industrial process oils. Base oil typically represents 80-90% of the finished lubricant by volume. NexLube is the first plant in North America to use Revivoil™, a leading-edge technology provided by Viscolube SpA and Axens N.A. that produces very high quality base oil and lubricant products. Revivoil™ is energy-efficient, environmentally beneficial, and is currently being used in plants in Europe, Asia and South America. The first NexLube facility is located on a 12-acre site in Tampa, Florida situated in the Port Sutton area of the Port of Tampa. This deep water port provides access for used oil feedstock and product delivery by barge, highway and railroad. The construction of the Tampa facility started in July 2012. Commissioning is planned for Q4/2013 with commercial operation beginning Q1/2014. The Tampa plant will have a processing capacity of 28 million gallons of used oil per year. Group II base oil will be produced and then further blended with additives to produce motor oils, hydraulic and transmission fluids, and industrial process oils that will be fully certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The used oil feedstock will primarily be collected by established third parties from the automotive and industrial sectors. Mr. Mitchell founded Riata Energy in 1985 with $500. Riata became one of the largest privately held energy companies in the US with a market value over $1 billion. He sold a controlling take in Riata in 2006, and the company was renamed SandRidge Energy (NYSE: SD). He founded Mitchell Group in early 2007 which includes investments and operated companies in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. He acquired a controlling interest in TransAtlantic Petroleum (ASE: TAT) in 2008 and grew the market capitalization from $10 million to $350 million. He has raised in excess of $2 billion for private and public companies since 2005. Mr. Mitchell earned a B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University. Mr. Bell previously joined Riata Corporate Group in February 2007 where he was responsible for the technical review and valuation of prospective alternative and renewable energy investments for the company. He was employed by SandRidge Energy (formerly Riata Energy) as Vice President, Midstream from July 2000 to February 2007, where he was responsible for the company’s purchase and sale of energy products, and the acquisition and management of midstream assets related to natural gas and carbon dioxide systems. He was a Board Manager for PetroSource Carbon Company from 2003-2007, employed with KN Energy Marketing from 1996-2000, and Southwestern Public Service Company from 1985-1996. He obtained a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1985 from Texas Tech University and an M.S. degree in Engineering Management from University of Colorado in 1994. Alberto Mendoza, VP Business Development and Marketing, and Board Manager Mr. Mendoza has over 38 years of experience in the oil industry including design of rock bits, design and construction of drilling rigs, land rigs, drilling barges and jackups for offshore operations, and oil and gas production and transportation via pipeline. He has been involved in petrochemical projects from financing to operation. Most of his dealings have been with the major oil companies and private producers in the U.S. Mr. Mendoza holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, and has a certified degree in metallurgy.
