Newman was founded in February 2002, by Larry Wallis, who at the time was the Director of Development and Construction in the State of Oklahoma for Trammell Crow Company. In addition to pursuing commercial development and construction for Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Wallis also had a personal vision to pursue the development of a place to live and enjoy water sports with family and friends. Subsequently, Newman Development was formed and the vision became clearer as land was studied, isolated, negotiated, entitled and purchased.
