The prevailing industry problems came from “mass-production”. When materials and construction are determined by marginal manufacturing techniques, imagination and durability go right went out the window.
We constantly strive to maximize yield on flat-panel products to reduce waste.
We use a large amount of wood in the construction of our cabinets. So we’ve made it a priority to only use lumber, plywood and finished wood products (like doors) that come from companies that support sustainable forestry practices and whose manufacturing processes are eco-friendly by reducing VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) and HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutant) emissions.
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) plywood used in our cabinets is manufactured using a formaldehyde free resin derived from soy. This proprietary system is non-toxic and considered to be the best no-added formaldehyde choice, leading to better indoor air quality. This product can also contribute to points under the LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building rating system.
We intend to continue to strive for new ways to create a healthier environment in the homes and businesses where our cabinets are installed as well as in our manufacturing facility.

Do you want peace of mind when it comes to your lasting investments, whether it’s those kitchen utensils, or your cabinets? We want to help […]
If you’ve spent time thinking about remodeling, you’ve already gotten the “jitters”. What exactly do I want? Will this really help my kitchen reach maximum potential? What is my plan for the future? These misgivings are not only natural, they’re helpful. The more thought, the better the outcome. But don’t spin your wheels with useless worry — let […]

Our innovative ideals for your home include innovative ideas for helping the planet.
Chris Madeira and Steve Smith founded New Artisan for two reasons: innovation and durability. The product landscape lacked both imagination and structural integrity, and they were determined to change that.
