Netsurion, formerly Vendor Safe Technologies, was founded in Houston, Texas in 1989, and we have been earning our clients’ trust ever since. We began as a group of network consultants and out of need to better manage our clients’ networks, we created a better way to remotely manage firewalls. We have since grown to become a premier provider of managed network security solutions – combining connectivity, threat, and compliance management into a single suite of managed network services.  In 2014, Providence Growth Equity became the majority shareholder, and in early 2015 we changed our name to Netsurion. This investment and subsequent brand update reflect an era of growth in our business. Over the next several years we intend to expand the industries we serve and services we deliver. We will also begin to manage more and more aspects of our clients’ network, helping relieve them of their IT burden. Netsurion and EventTracker Merger In 2016, Netsurion merged with EventTracker, a leader in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. The synergy of these two companies provides a broader suite of complementary and powerful cybersecurity solutions. As the sophistication of network breaches increases, the combined firms are able to deliver SIEM capabilities with managed security services to a class of businesses that previously were unable to afford and manage such sophisticated security measures. EventTracker has been on the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM for 10 consecutive years.  In 2018, Netsurion announced a new comprehensive solution to more effectively cloud-manage branch locations and deliver unmatched security. Netsurion Connect combines the efficiencies of SD-WAN and the security capabilities of SIEM, unlike any other managed solution for distributed enterprises. From 2003 through 2007, Kevin was Chairman and CEO of Verid, a SaaS-based application that provides remote identity verification services to financial institutions. Kevin led the company’s sale to RSA, the security division of EMC. From 1998 through 2014, Kevin was the co-founder and Managing Director of C/max Capital. While at C/max Capital, Kevin led the firm’s investments in About.com (taken public then sold to Primedia), Adjoined Consulting (sold to Kanbay), Verid (sold to EMC), Concordia (sold to Kadmon), and KMC Software. Kevin helped co-found KMC Software, a SaaS-based recruiting tool, in 2009, and led the company’s product launch in 2011. Kevin also served as the acting-CFO of About.com, leading the company’s $86 million initial public offering and helped About.com form its business-to-business unit as the CEO of About Industry. Jay joined the team in 2014, having served in operational leadership positions for growth-oriented technology businesses for over 30 years. Prior to joining Netsurion, Jay served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Alteva, Inc., a publicly traded, leading provider of cloud-based unified communication solutions, recently acquired by Momentum Telecom. From 2003 to 2008, Jay served as Senior Vice President, Operations at Verid, a SaaS provider of identity verification services, acquired by EMC in 2007. Between 1986 to 1995, and 2000 to 2002, Jay worked for Equitrac Corporation, a market leader in intelligent print and cost management solutions. From 1995 to 2000, Jay held senior leadership positions in technology operations for the law firms Keesal, Young & Logan and Arter and Hadden, LLP. Since 2008, he also serves as an independent consultant for start-ups and emerging technology businesses, providing guidance on operational issues and growth strategies. Mark joined the company in 2016, and brings more than 20 years of progressive cross-industry IT leadership to the role. He oversees Netsurion’s engineers who build, manage, and monitor the company’s internal systems and technology. He most recently served as CTO of Swiss Watch International, following management roles at AOL, Chico’s FAS, Winn-Dixie, and Luxottica Retail. Throughout his corporate IT career, he has led significant business and technology transformation projects, including multi-year enterprise resource planning programs (SAP, Oracle, NSB) and e-commerce platform initiatives (IBM WCS, ATG, Magento). He has also directed large-scale POS implementations, business intelligence installations, and infrastructure migration programs.
