NDT Diamonds began as an American Dream. After the Vietnam War a new corrupting government was rising, our homes and businesses were destroyed, life was not easy. Out of desperation, we were forced to find a way to escape for a new home and safer living. Hiding and running through the land from the communist patrols, we were able to make it to the sea. After safely boarding the boat along with other refugees, we set out to the ocean. Our boat floated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean for weeks not sure which direction to go. Eventually we ran out of food and water. Surely, we were all going to die of hunger and thirst, or worst be killed by sea bandits. After a dreadful year in refugee camps, an American man and a Catholic Charity sponsored our family of ten to go to America. When we arrived in the warm and friendly state of Florida we had no money, could not speak English, and did not know how to drive a car, but we knew that our greatest asset would be to work hard and learn. Here we began our journey to build a new life with the help of our family, friends, peers, and community. With our experience running a family business in Vietnam, we were able to open our first retail store in 1986. Servicing Saint Petersburg customers with just two jewelry showcases, NDT Diamonds provided sincere, reliable, and honorable services to every customers who walked through our doors. With the support of our beloved clients and their generous referrals, our business was able to grow and expand, first by adding more showcases, then locations, and eventually allowing us to move into the wholesale diamond business. Thanks to our dedicated hardworking family and loyal customers, today NDT Diamonds is able to sell diamonds of all cuts, clarities, colors, and makes, ranging from as small as half a carat to exquisite diamonds more than ten carats. Additionally, all our stones all fully certified through the world’s leading authorities on diamonds, GIA. Fundamental to how we conduct business, our integrity is what has allowed our company to grow over the years. Our relationships, whether it be new or returning customers, are all built to be sustainable and mutually valuable.
