Endowment funds of several major universities and several large money management firms Key Star Capital (affiliated with NC Ventures Inc.) was created in 2012 to manage and service future distressed debt funds. Key Star\NC Ventures (est 1998), with its institutional investors, has purchased in excess of $1 billion in bank assets since its inception. The purchases are made through a series of Delaware LImited Partnerships with Key Star or its affiliates being the General and Managing Partner. The Limited Partners have included the endowment funds of several major universities as well as several large money management firms.
