Mr. Nelson has over 30 years of insurance and risk management experience including five years of experience as a property & casualty and life assurance company corporate officer in charge of bottom line profitability. Tony has spent many years with various property/casualty and life assurance companies. He began his career with Allstate Insurance Company were he began as a claims adjuster, eventually becoming a Territorial Underwriting Manager; American Bankers Insurance Group (know today as Assurant Group) where he worked with market conduct and compliance, state audit compliance and coordination and served as the Vice President of Profits (Chief Underwriter) for the Caribbean affiliated offices located in Puerto Rico. His responsibilities included managing a profit center producing in excess of $150 million in annual revenues. Mr. Nelson’s areas of expertise include but are not limited to commercial account management, international business and budget development, product marketing, expense control and risk management. Mr. Nelson served as President of Land America Insurance Agency which managed a nationwide Homeowners Program for Land America Financial Group (LFG, New York Stock Exchange; a Fortune 500 company).
